Erwin Emata reached Mt Everest peak between 5:30 to 6 a.m. when he radioed the team's camp to inform them of his summit. His success followed behind Oracion's success a day later.

While in Manila, PGMA said that the Filipinos are overjoyed with the successful climb of Ermata and Oracion. This displayed the mark of Filipino excellence, perseverance, and courage in braving the hard trek of nation-building.
